Mason, Lola (27 SEP 1911)

Sanford Lightfoot and Miss Lola Mason were married Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1911, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Hartson, at 9 a.m., Rev. W.T. Hendren performed the ceremony, the ring service being used.

Besides the bride’s mother, only a few intimate friends were present.

The happy young couple left that morning for Minneapolis, via Withee, A.S. Armstrong taking them up in the auto. They will remain away a week, visiting the bride’s sisters at Red Wing, Minn., and the groom’s people at Fairchild. On their return they will make their home at Bright (Clark Co., Wis.)

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Jos. Osgood, and is a young lady of excellent character and refined tastes. She is well known here and has a large circle of friends among Greenwood people. She spent five years in the local post office as assistant postmaster and has a good record for efficiency in the postal service.

The groom is a young man of excellent character and habits. He was formerly assistant postmaster at Fairchild, at present in the employ of H.A. Bright at Bright as bookkeeper.

The Gleaner joins the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lightfoot in wishing them many happy years of wedded life.
