Matkovich, Emelia (Marriage - 6 Aug. 1939)

Miss Emelia Matkovich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Matkovich of Willard, became the bride of Samuel A. Bertrand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Bertrand of Chippewa Falls, Sunday, August 6, at Holy Family Catholic church in Willard.

Mrs. Anton Gnader, sister of the bride, was the bride’s only attendant. John Matkovich, brother of the bride, was best man.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

After a week’s wedding trip the couple will make their home at Owen where he is employed as clerk for the Northern States Power Company. The bride is the owner of the Owen Beauty Shop.

Miss Matkovich is well known in Neillsville, Wis. She was formerly employed at Mi-Lady’s Beauty Shoppe and later at the Curl Shop.
