Krom, Dora (1872? - 15 MAY 1935)

Mrs. Dora Krom, 62, wife of Ben Krom of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Luther Hospital at Eau Claire, Wednesday afternoon about three o’clock, at which institution she had been a patient for about a week. However, she had been in failing health for more than two years and was constantly under the care of a physician. At her bedside when she passed away were her husband and four sons: her sister, Mrs. Parlin, and brother, Manny Mandelson, both of Chicago.

Her body was brought to Withee this morning and is lying in state at her home. This evening it will be accompanied by the family, her brother and sister, and Morris Krom, to Chicago, where funeral services will take place Friday afternoon from Piser’s Chapel. Burial will take place in the Jewish Waldheim Cemetery.

Mrs. Krom came to Withee about thirty-five years ago, and since that time has made that village her home. In those years she became concerned to all who knew her, and in her passing those remaining have lost a valuable friend and neighbor. For many years Mrs. Krom was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge, the Rebekah, and was prominent socially. She was a kind and loving mother, a faithful wife, and a friend to all.

Surviving are: her husband; four sons, George of Owen, Saul and Harold of Withee, and Milton of Gilman; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Parlin, Mrs. J.W. Schwartz, and Mrs. Lena Arkin, and one brother, Manny Mandelson, all of Chicago.

The bereaved family and relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of this entire community in this sad hour.
