Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Theresa Mary Arends, daughter of John Arends of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Harold H. Blaasch, Owen (Clark Co.), son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blaasch, Medford, at the Greenwood Trinity Lutheran Church at 8 o’clock Friday morning, May 23. The Rev. Hugo W. Hoffman of Rib Lake performed the ceremony, and the Rev. George Heilman preached the sermon.

The bride appeared in white silk organdy, and her attendants, Miss Edith Einfeldt, Wrightstown, maid of honor, and Miss Marion Counsell, Neillsville, wore pale pink dresses similar in fashion and material. The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses, and wore pale pink dresses similar in fashion and material. The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses, and wore finger-tip veil caught to a halo-style headdress. Misses Einfeldt and Counsell carried colonial bouquets of sweet peas.

Mrs. Blaasch, mother of the groom, and Mrs. Rue Cummings, aunt of the bride, wore dark gowns and gladiola corsages. Robert Zetsche of Dorchester attended as best man, and Victor Pagenkopf of Neillsville was an usher. Lee Counsell of Neillsville furnished the music for the occasion.

A reception for friends and relatives followed the ceremony, and a 6 o’clock supper was served at Warner’s restaurant for members of the immediate family. Pink and white were used in the decorations of the home of the bride’s father, where the reception was held before Mr. and Mrs. Blaasch left to spend the weekend in Sparta.

The former attended high school at Rib Lake and business college at Wausau. He is employed at the Western Condensery at Owen, Wis. Mrs. Blaasch attended High School in Greenwood and studied at the Eau Claire Teachers College. They will make their home in Withee after June 6.
