In a ceremony performed at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Froelich, Town of Warner (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Evelyn Eunice Froelich exchanged vows with George Henry Wolthausen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mildred Wolthausen of Barrington, Ill., at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20, 1941. The Rev. A.J. Abbott performed the rites, and Mrs. Heagle of Stanley presided at the organ. Mrs. C.R. Gaylord sang "I Love You Truly" and "Because."
The bride wore a long, trailing white chiffon gown, and carried a bouquet of white and pink roses and 100-year-old Bible. Miss Roslyn Wolthausen, sister of the groom, maid of honor, attended in a pink silk marquisette ensemble, and carried a bouquet similar to that carried by the bride. Harold W. Froelich, brother of the bride, served as best man.
The mother of the bride was attired in a dress of teal blue, and the groom’s mother chose a sky blue gown.
Covers were laid for 75 guests at a wedding supper which followed the ceremony, and decorations for the occasion consisted of pink and white streamers, silver bells, and colorful flowers.
The bride was graduated from the Greenwood High School and has been employed in Barrington for about two years. Mr. Wolthausen is a graduate of the Barrington High School. Upon their return from a short wedding trip, they will be at home to friends in Barrington, where the groom is employed as an insurance broker.
