Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Mrs. Katherine Vesel, 73, died at 3 o’clock this morning at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Vesel, Greenwood. Death was caused by old age complications.
The day of the funeral has not been definitely set, but the services will be held either Tuesday or Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood, of which she was a member. The Rev. J.J. Novak will officiate at the services, and interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Vesel was born in Yugoslavia July 13, 1865. She was married at Willard in 1914 to Frank Vesel who preceded her in death April 20, 1920.
Mr. and Mrs. Vesel lived in Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) until Feb. 20, 1920, when they moved to Ahmeek, Mich., where Mrs. Vesel lived until her husband’s death two months later. At that time she came to Greenwood and had since lived with her son, John.
Surviving are two sons, John Vesel, Greenwood, and Frank Vesel, Duluth, Minn., and three daughters, Mrs. Louis Ropoter and Mrs. John Novak, both of Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Joseph Garich, Calumet, Mich. There are also 18 grandchildren.
