Knutson, Greta (29 Sept. 1869 - 24 May 1940)

Mrs. Great Knutson, for 49 years a resident of Jackson County, passed away at Green Bay Friday, May 24, at the age of 70, following a year of illness with diabetes.

Funeral services were held at Pray, Wis., at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Urberg of Blair conducting the rites. Burial took place in the cemetery at City Point.

Mrs. Knutson was born at Jarna DaLarna, Sweden, Sept. 29, 1869. She came to America on the 22nd day of June, 1890. A year later, May 19, 1891, she was married to Andrew Knutson. Thirteen children were born to them, four of whom preceded their mother in death. Mr. Knutson passed away several years ago.

Mrs. Knutson, whose home was at Pray, was highly respected by her family, neighbors and friends. Hers was an unusually busy home life, yet in a quiet way she showed her good will toward neighbors about her.

She is survived by the following children; Anna, John and Andrew, Chicago; Henry and Kenneth, Milwaukee; Clara, Minneapolis; Gena, Harold and Lawrence, Green Bay; two brothers, John J. Johnson, Badger, Minn. And Andrew Johnson, Wheaton, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Larsen; Wheaton, Minn., also survives.
