Suda, Joseph (3 MAR 1871 - MAR 1945)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Joseph Suda, 74, a prominent farmer residing on route 1, Greenwood, died at 7:15 o’clock this morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient since March 13. He had suffered a stroke a year ago, and death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Mr. Suda was born in Yugoslavia March 3, 1871, and came to Greenwood 20 years ago from Muscoda, settling on a farm seven miles from Greenwood. Seven years ago he moved to a smaller farm two miles from Greenwood.

Surviving are his widow, Antonia, and four sons, Vandy of thorp, Joseph of Greenwich, Ohio, and Tony and Louie, both of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Madeline) Perko, who with her husband owns stores and Greenwood and Marshfield, but resides in Willard, and Mrs. Leo (Agnes) Reeths (Rueth?), Loyal; and a brother, John, Muscoda.

The body has been taken to the Schiller Funeral Home until funeral arrangements can be made. The rev. J.J. Novak of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will have charge of the rites, and interment will be made at Muscoda, west of Madison.
