Neillsville, Keller's Silver Dome Ballroom
Contact: Paula (Davel) Fredrickson
My Dad, Paul Davel, of Loyal, was one of 11 children, most of whom danced at the Silver Dome during the 1930's and 40's.. In the 1960's I got my chance to enjoy the place--how we loved going there, my friends and I--every Saturday night. It was great place to meet guys and at 18, drink beer. Naturally we wanted to get into the "Older" bar where you had to be 21. I tried but always got checked. Many romances started there and it was a wonderful place to meet and dance with people from other towns. I'm so happy it is still there! .
