Anderson, Irma L. (14 JUN 1908 - 25 JAN 1920)
(Valerian, Valier, Mont.)
Irma Lillian Anderson the youngest daughter of Martin J. and Martha S. Anderson was born near Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis. on June 14, 1908, and died at the home near Valier on Jan. 25, 1920, age 11 years, 7 months and 11 days. She came with her parents to Montana in Oct. 1909 and spent her life here. She was a bright pupil in school, finishing the fifth grade in June, but having been stricken with that dreaded disease Diabetes last spring, she was not able to reenter school this year, she was about the house until the day of her death, but on Saturday said to her mother, "I am not going to live much longer." On Sunday morning she quietly passed into a state of coma and Sunday evening at 7:30 while the storm was raging she passed on to that eternal shore where storms are no more.
She was a baptized child of the Lutheran Church and was loving in her disposition, leaving behind her a large circle of little friends, besides the sorrowing parents, two brothers and two sisters, Bernard W. Anderson, Mrs. Mable Johnson, Grace and Leon Anderson.
Funeral services in charge of J.A. Hunter were conducted at the Methodist Church of Valier on Thursday afternoon, J.A. Alford officiating. The floral offerings were beautiful from the school children and others. The Pallbearers were Indor Nelson, Clarence Anderson, Milton Holmquist and Marian Crawford. The selections by the choir were very appropriate and beautiful.
