Auberg, Adolph (12 JUL 1886 - 6 MAY 1938)
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Griebenow-Weirich Co. Funeral Chapel in this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) for Adolph Auberg, 49, who died at his home in Withee of heart trouble. He had been in failing health for the past six years. Rev. W.P. Powell officiated at the rites and interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Marking, Sever Bjornstad, Louis Bartholomay, Frank Vanderwegen, Carl Beilfuss, and William Veurink.
Mr. Auberg was born in Frederickstad, Norway, July 12, 1886. He came to this county in 1907, fist locating at Stanley, where he resided a number of years before moving to Withee. For about 13 years he was employed in the John S. Owen Lumber Co. sawmill, while it was in operation here.
He was married to Miss Bertha Anderson at Stanley Sept. 27, 1909. The couple made their home in Withee for about 20 years.
Surviving besides his wife are five sons, Anton, Bernard, Roy, Harold and Gordon, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Martin Paulson of Withee. Two sisters, Elida and Emma, in Oslo, Norway, also survive.
Mr. Auberg was a member of the Scandinavian American Fraternity.
Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Engelhart of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ness and Mrs. Ulander of Stanley.
