Persak, John (26 DEC 1852 - 7 SEP 1931)
John Persak, an aged pioneer of this vicinity, died at his home four and one-half mile north of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Monday, Sept. 7, 1931. Deceased was born on Dec. 26, 1852, and had reached the age of 78 years, 8 months and 12 days. He leaves to mourn, his wife, seven sons and one daughter. The funeral which was largely attended, took place on Thursday last from St. Hedwig’s Church, Father F.A. Kulig conducting the services. Interment took place in the parish cemetery.

SORRY TO READ ADOUT JOHNS PASSING. JOHN WAS MY FIRST COUSIN. HIS FATHER FRANK WAS MY FATHERS BROTHER THOMAS L.PERSAK. I HAD LAST SEEN JOHN AROUND 1953 IN CHICAGO. I DID TALK TO HIM AROUND 1991. HE CALLED ME IN WISCONSIN DELLS WHERE I HAVE A SUMMER HOME. HE SAID HE MAY TAKE A TRIP TO THORP WISCONSIN. i DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM AFTER THAT. I NOW RESIDE IN HUNTLEY, IL AFTER LIVING IN CHICAGO FOR 68 YRS.
