Qualley, Susan (24 AUG 1847 - 1 APR 1932)

Mrs. Susan Tronson Qualley, maiden name Susan Mortenson, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Dostler, town of Aurora, Taylor Co., Wis., on April 1, 1932. She was born at Hardanger, Norway, Aug. 24, 1847 and had reached the age of 84 years, 7 months and 7 days. In 1854 she came to America and upon reaching womanhood was united in marriage to Edwin Qualley in Dodge Co., Minn., residing at Kasson, Minn. Until 1890, when she moved to Wisconsin.

Her husband died in 1903. She made her home in North Dakota from the time of his death until in 1908, when she came to Wisconsin and lived at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Dostler, for the past 18 years.

The cause of death was infirmities of old age. Deceased leaves to mourn, two sister, Mrs. John Halverson of Gilman and Mrs. Mary Bjerke of Hatton, N.D., and Edwin, Thomas, John and Elmer, and three daughters, Mrs. Amos Johnson, Tokio, N.D., Mrs. L.G. Moe, Plaza, N.D., and Mrs. Geo. Dostler, Gilman.

Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Yellow River) on Monday, April 4th, Rev. E.S. Eidsesvik of Cornell officiating. Burial took place at St. John’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving were Hans Hegen, Martin Hagenson, John Almberg, Louis Aaseth, Ed Weisenberg and Wm. Mattes.
