Tousley, Albion Matthew (3 June 1863 - 16 Nov. 1940)
Albion M. Tousley passed away at his home at 8459 Fountain Ave., Hollywood, Calif., Saturday, Nov. 16th, 1940, after several weeks’ illness.
Mr. Tousley was born June 3, 1863, at Waterloo, Wisconsin, the son of Dr. Morison and Jane Twining Tousley. As a very young boy he moved to Pine Valley with his parents, where he grew to young manhood on the farm which has long been know as the Will Dux farm. Here he attended school with his niece, Miss Alice Bowers, (now Mrs. Lenus Frank) who also lived with her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Tousley.
After the death of his parents, he made his home with a sister, Mrs. Julia Bridge, at Warren, Ill., where he learned the milling and grain business in all its phases and which business he followed all his life, in Chicago and later in Cleveland, Ohio.
He retired from active business about ten years ago and moved to Hollywood where, with Mrs. Tousley, they enjoyed a quiet home life. Surviving are the wife, Mildred Burke Tousley, and one daughter, Miss Claire Tousley, of New York City. The only son, Clyde, passed away at Sawtelle, Calif., about two years ago.
Brief services and committal by cremation were held at the Little Church of the Flowers of Los Angeles, Wednesday, Nov. 20th.
