Niehoff, Claire Darton (11 NOV 1944)

Mrs. Claire Darton Niehoff of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) and Dr. Marcel B. Ketchpaw of Bloomer, were united in marriage on Saturday, Nov. 11, 1944 at 3:30 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Darton at Loyal. Rev. W.H. Norton, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Bloomer, officiated.

The bride was attended by Harriet Ketchpaw of Ripon, daughter of the groom, while Hugh Darton, brother of the bride, was best man.

Myron G. Duncan of Owen, accompanied by Mrs. W.K. Doonan, also of Owen, sang "I Love Your Truly" and "O Promise Me."

About 60 relatives and close friends of the bride and groom were present at the ceremony and a large number of guests attended the reception given later at the Johnston Hotel in Loyal, where Dorothy Lloyd of Owen and Beatrice Clayton of Greenwood presided at the tea table.

The guests number people from Loyal, Greenwood, Bloomer, Gilman, Owen, Colby, Neillsville, Humbird, Wis. Rapids, Ripon, Wausau and Appleton.

After a short honeymoon they will be at home to their many friends in Bloomer.

The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life.
