Thorp Locals

James Boylan of Withee has not been able to use his hands for several days past. He bruised them severly recently when they were caught in a hay fork while he was unloading hay, says the Thorp Courier.

Among other Thorp items were:

Mrs. Charles Fisher of Thorp suffered a severe back injury recently when she fell down the steps at the entrance of the Fisher store.

Dorothy May Broeren of Thorp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Broeren, became the bride of Leslie E. Hanson, music instructor in the Thorp public schools, in a ceremony conducted at Owen, July 8. The couple is honeymooning at a lake near Hayward.

Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Stookley returned recently from a five-week vacation in Los Angles, Cal.

Mrs. Anna Baroni of Los Angeles has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, who resides at the Jake Smith home.

A fish bone which lodged in a finger caused Mrs. Joe Bogumill some discomfort and concern.
