Beckman, Lois (Marriage - 11 Oct. 1941)

A pretty wedding took place at Fairview Lutheran Church, Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon, October 11, when Miss Lois Beckman and Fred Dittman were united in marriage.

The bride was dressed in white satin, fashion along princess lines, and a finger-tip veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of baby breath and white roses. Her bridesmaid carried a similar, though smaller bouquet.

Attending the couple were her two sisters, Lorraine and June Beckman and his brothers, Elmer and Rinehardt Dittman. The bride was given in marriage by her father, R. A. Beckman, formerly of Neillsville, Wis. Her mother, the former Mae Shaw, is a daughter of Jerome Shaw, Neillsville, Wis.

Those in attendance at the wedding from a distance were: George Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shaw and son, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Shaw, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Perry Hahm and son of Lindsey; Miss Phyllis Boden of Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Anderson, Minneapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson and daughter, Grace, of Mound, Minn.

After the ceremony a 6:30 wedding dinner was served at Concord hall in West Allis, following which the dining hall was cleared and dancing was in progress for several hours.
