Eaton Center

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Christie of Chetek spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Syth.

Lawrence Johnson has purchased a milking machine and a new car.

Bill Andrews is working for Viv Carteron. This neighborhood was shocked and grieved to hear the sudden death of Mrs. Atkinson. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends.

Jimmy Rohde is working for George Jenkins.

A program, card party and lunch were had Friday evening at the Eaton Center school. They plan a PTA meeting once a month. All are cordially invited to attend these gatherings. Cards will be played, and a lunch is to be served for a nominal charge. They intend to use the money to buy chairs for the meetings and other needed things.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lenz and son, Roy, have started by auto on a trip to California, if they can get over the mountains on the northern route, their son, Arnold, is working in California.

Mrs. Jack Syth has been visiting relatives in the state of Washington.

Miss Arlene Palms spent Saturday evening and Sunday with the home folks.

Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Carteron, Mrs. Walter Swieso and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Roehl were Neillsville callers Saturday. They attended the school board convention.

Mrs. Fred Kotcher, entertained company from Milwaukee over the weekend.
