Born in Schleusingen, Germany, June nine, 1862, to August and Dora (Worchel) Dudei, John Dudei came to this country in June, 1888. Three years previously, on January 18, 1885, he was married to Caroline White. In 1913, Mr. and Mrs. Dudei moved to Neillsville, purchasing a home on the north side. Mr. Dudei worked for the city as long as he was able. Several years ago he suffered a broken hip in a fall, from which he never completely recovered. About a month ago he became ill with a heart ailment, later being taken to the Neillsville where he passed away at 11:40 p.m. October 17, at the age of 79.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Rev. William A. Baumann officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
