Michel, Rose (13 JUN 1929)

Miss Rose Michel of Athens, who taught the Draper school northeast of the village (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.) the past three years, surprise her many friends by getting married at Chicago on June 13th, 1929 to Mr. Rudolph Leyers of that city, but formerly of Wuertzburg.

Mr. Leyers is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a S.B. degree and was a star fullback on the Maroon football team, winners of the Big Ten Conference. He was also awarded medals for scholarship and athletics. At the present time he is studying medicine at Rusch Medical.

Mrs. Leyers is well known throughout these parts and we join with her many friends in extending congratulations and well wishes.

They are planning a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone National Park in September and will reside in the city of Chicago until he completes his medical course.
