Wegner, Esther (27 SEP 1930)

A very pretty wedding took place at Milwaukee on Saturday, Sept. 27th, 1930 when Miss Esther Wegner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wegner Sr., and Mr. Anthony J. Gabriel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gabriel of this village (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.) were married.

The bride was beautifully dressed in a pale pink chiffon dress and tulle veil of the same shade and carried a shower bouquet of deep pink roses shading into creamy hues.

Miss Agnes Gabriel of Wilmette, Ill., sister of the groom, was matron of honor and wore a dress of orchid georgette and carried a bouquet of pink roses and mixed flowers.

Jean Patsy O’Brien, niece of the bride, was flower girl and was dressed in a white georgette dress and carried a bouquet of roses and mixed flowers.

The groom was attended by Mr. Lester Wegner, brother of the bride.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, only the nearest friends and relatives being present.

The bride is a daughter of a very prominent family and is one of the popular young ladies of her community, while the groom is an earnest and industrious young man and well thought of.

The young couple will make their home in Milwaukee where the groom is employed.

We join with the many friends in extending congratulations.
