Cap A. C. Martin, beloved by the members of the old Co. A of Neillsville, was buried with military honors Tuesday afternoon. He was captain of the company when the boys were on guard duty at Two Harbors, and also on the Mexican border. Later he was promoted to major and went over seas with a machine gun outfit. In late year he lived at Marshfield and Granton, where he had charge of the lumber year. He was a member of the Odd Fellows order. Dr. Schwarz, H. E. Laffe, L. J. Laffe, R. J. Stuve, and N. S. Fristad attended the burial services. Major Martin was a veteran of the Spanish-American and World Wars.
