Michael Ewer, 46, of Marshfield died on Wednesday March 7, 2007 at the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2007, at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home in Marshfield with Rev. Mark A. Krueger officiating.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 11, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services.

Michael was born on March 11, 1960 in Ladysmith to George and Mary (Whittenberger) Ewer. He was raised in the Holcombe area and moved to Thorp in 1970. He graduated from Thorp High School in 1978 and made his career in the United States Air Force.

He was married to Sharon Kay Seaholm on September 29, 1979 and later divorced. He then married Theresa Scannapieco on August 2, 2003.

During his military career, Mike was awarded his stripe for TSgt for outstanding performance and several other awards for William Tell during his 22 years of service. He retired in 2003 as a Master Sergeant.

He and Theresa spent his last days on the beach before moving home to Wisconsin the past week on March 4, 2007.

Mike is survived by his wife, Theresa of Marshfield; his mother and step-father, Mary and Harold Jennejohn of Lublin; two daughters: Erica (Joshua) Thompson of Philadelphia, PA and Elisha Ewer of Florida; one granddaughter and four step-sons, Christopher, Michael, Nicholas and Joseph. He is further survived by five sisters: Juanita Jerome of Chippewa Falls, Peggy Hanson of Marshfield, Pattie Klapatauskas of Thorp, Mary (Kevin) Eichelt of Lublin, and Jenne Jennejohn of Lublin and three brothers: Charlie Ewer of Marshfield, Ron (Lisa) Ewer of Ft. Campbell, KY and Roger Ewer of Lublin.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, George in 1970 and a brother, Staff Sgt. Ken Ewer in 1993.
