Mrs. Josephine Emer passed to the Great Beyond from her home in Fairview on January 25, after a long illness of paralysis, being confined to her bed for many weeks.

Josephine Schroth was born in Hessen, Germany, Nov. 30, 1864. She grew to young womanhood at the place of her birth, and came to America in the year 1887.
On May 17, 1892, Miss Josephine Schroth and Mr. Frank L. The daughters and sons who are mourning the death of their beloved mother at this time are: Lawrence, of Fairview; Mrs. Albert (Barbara) Raschke, Stratford; Frank Jr., Fairview; Andrew, Milwaukee; Joseph, of St. Paul. She leaves eleven grandchildren.
Mrs. Emer is survived by one brother, Carl Schroth, and one sister, Miss Catherine Schroth, both now residing at Alma Center.
