Young, Elvina Augusta (30 Jan. 1869 - 14 Feb. 1934)
Mrs. Henry Young, former resident of Humbird, brief mention of whose death was printed last issue, passed away at her home in Malta, Montana, at 6:15 Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, after a long illness of heart ailment.
Elvina Augusta Sheifflebine was born January 30, 1869, at Augusta, Wis. She was united in marriage to Henry J. Young, at Humbird, in the year 1896, and their home was in this village until 1914, when they moved to Canada. A year later they went to Zurich, Montana. Since 1919, they have made their home in Malta.
Mrs. Young attained the age of 65 years and 14 days. She is survived by her husband, three daughters; Mrs. Louis Holland, of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Rudolph Friede and Mrs. Frank Luther, of Zurich, Mont., and six grandchildren. One sister also survives, Mrs. Grant Vandeburg, of Augusta, and several nieces and nephews.
Religions rites were held on Feb. 17, from the Malta Lutheran Church with Rev. M. R. Ranheim officiating. The remains were then taken to Chinook, where services were held at the American Lutheran Church with Rev. M. C. Austinson officiating. Burial was in the Chinook Cemetery. Many beautiful flowers were received from friends and neighbors.
