Broeske, Ruth (20 JUN 1933)

A beautiful wedding was solemnized two o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical Peace Church when Miss Ruth Broeske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Broeske, town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Lloyd R. Carlson, Abbotsford, Rev. J.R. Kalwitz officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was tastily gowned in a white satin formal gown with lace cape and a white picture hat and carried an arm bouquet of assorted flowers. Her bridesmaid, Miss Lorraine Hanson, wore a yellow crepe gown and carried a bouquet of snapdragons, roses and carnations. The groom and his attendant, Lawrence Carlson, wore dark suits.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with immediate relatives attending. A wedding dance was held in the evening at Hinke’s. The happy newlyweds will be at home to their many friends on the G.R. Broeske farm, which they have rented.

Neither of the young folks need any introduction to our Dorchester readers, as they are both well known and liked. We join their many friends in wishing them a life’s journey full of bliss and prosperity.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Plier of Chicago, the bride’s aunt and uncle, attended the wedding.
