Merle D. Breuer, 79, formerly of Unity, died March 20, 1999, at Marian Franciscan Center in Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be at noon Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. Father John Malik will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Colby, Clark County.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Community Funeral Home in Colby. A combined Christian Mothers and Parish Rosary will be held at 4 p.m.
Merle was born Sept. 23, 1919 in Marathon County to Anton and Frieda (Voth) Korntved. She attended Unity School. She was married to Jerome Danner in 1937. He died and she married Joseph Breuer in 1947. He died Oct. 12, 1985.
Merle lived in Chicago for 21 years working for Zenith for 14 years. She moved back to Unity in 1971 and worked at Land O’ Lakes in Spencer for 11 years. She moved to Brookfield in 1991.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Church, Brookfield and American Legion Auxiliary Post 358 in Unity.
She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Mews of Brookfield and Patricia Burke of Brookfield.
