Krause, Amanda (15 Nov. 1884 - 18 Jan. 1964)

Spencer, Wis. - Mrs. Amanda Krause, 79, Spencer, died of a heart attack Saturday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. W. R. Krueger will officiate, and burial will be made in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery. The body will repose at the Jasperson Funeral Home beginning Tuesday noon.

Mrs. Krause was born Nov. 15, 1884 in the town of Unity. Her marriage to Herman Krause, who preceded her in death, took place Oct. 29, 1903 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Spencer. After the marriage, the couple settled on a farm northeast of Spencer, in the town of Brighton. In 1948, they moved to the town of Spencer.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Lorena) Cramer, Spencer; Mrs. Joe (Linda) Wallner, Marshfield; Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Wiesman, Stratford; and Mrs. Allen (Lillian) Dietsche, Marshfield; two sons, Erwin, Clyman, Wis.; and Norman, Spencer; three sisters, Mrs. William Ewald, Spencer; Mrs. Martha Schwantes, Owen; and Mrs. Anna Schultz, Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Frances) Neumann; a sister and three brothers.
