Naedler, William A. (26 Feb. 1901 - 21 Jul. 1981)

Neillsville - Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, for William A. Naedler Sr., 80, of Route 1, Granton, who died Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The Rev. Horst W. Augustin will officiate and burial will be at the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Gesche Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today and until noon Friday, and for an hour before services at the church.

Mr. Naedler was born Feb. 26, 1901 in Neillsville to William J. and Margaretha (Geyer) Naedler and received his education in this area. He farmed with his parents in the Neillsville area and was married there Oct. 19, 1927 to the former Linda Schwantes. They farmed in the town of York until his retirement in 1953.

He was a member of the Clark County Board for 11 years, chairman of the town of York for 12 years and a Granton School Board member for six years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served on various church groups.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Irene) Nanstad of Janesville; two sons, Marvin of Granton and William Jr. of Neillsville; a brother, Hilbert of Neillsville; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister and two brothers.
