Laabs, Leona (1 DEC 1923)

Joseph A. Fenn of Oshkosh and Miss Leona Laabs of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) were quietly married at the Lutheran Parsonage Saturday afternoon, Dec. 1st, 1923, Rev. W. J. Kitzerow officiating.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Laabs of the West Side and is a young lady of exceptional qualities. She was attired in a navy blue charmoise satin dress draped with silk beaded georgette crepe and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.

Miss Ina Seibold acted as bridesmaid and wore a very blue silk canton crepe dress and also carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.

The groom, although a stranger here, is a very popular young man at Oshkosh and is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fenn. The groom wore a suit of brown serge. He was attended by Alfred Laabs, a brother of the bride, who wore a blue serge suit.

The wedding was a quiet family affair and was attended only by near relatives.

The young couple left for Oshkosh Sunday here they will reside. The groom being employed there as a painter.

The bride has been working in a restaurant at Oshkosh since last August and will continue here duties as waitress for the present .

The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy wedded life.
