Sarazen, Dorothy Joan (June 1, 1922 - April 29, 2007)

Dorothy Sarazen, age 84, of Neillsville, died on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Dorothy Joan was born on June 1, 1922 in Michigan City, IN the daughter of John and Katherine (Murphy) Kazmucha. She completed her education at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Michigan City. Dorothy married Frank Sarazen on Aug. 6, 1948 in Porter, IN. They moved to the Neillsville area in 1969 where Frank worked as an insurance adjuster and Dorothy stayed at home raising their family. Frank died in 1987.

She is survived by her children, Joan (Walter) Chasteen, of Ferryville, WI; Anne Casey, of Neillsville; and Carolyn (Bruce) Huismann, of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a daughter, Frances Nosek; a grandson, Richard Casey and her parents.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Interment will be in the West Weston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Dorothy’s family with funeral arrangements.
