Henke, Velma (Marriage - 12 June 1930)

A quiet but very interesting wedding took place last Thursday, June 12th, when Arvin Langjahr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Langjahr of Colby, was married to Miss Velma Henke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Henke, at the Methodist parsonage at Loyal, Wisconsin, Rev. C. F. Olson reading the marriage ceremony. Vera Smith was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Harold Henke, brother of the bride.

The bride wore a beautiful dress of shell pink georgette over beauty pink satin and her bouquet consisted of roses, sweet peas and snapdragons. The maid of honor was attired in a dress of peach color georgette and her bouquet consisted of white and pink carnations.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride where a seven o’clock dinner was served, the home being nicely decorated in pink and white for the occasion.

The newlyweds will make their home at Riplinger, Wis., where the groom is one of the prominent business men, being in the mercantile business.
