Thieme, Helen (Marriage - 15 Jan. 1931)

A very pretty wedding took place last Thursday afternoon, January 15, when Miss Helen Thieme, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thieme, became the bride of Mr. Elroy Brehm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brehm, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the marriage ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

Irene Brehm, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and Franklin Thieme, brother of the bride, attended the groom. The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful dress of white crepe black satin and lace with veil and ferns. The bridesmaid wore a dress of rose colored blue flat crepe and her bouquet consisted of white carnations and ferns.

A five o’clock ? was served to immediate relatives, the home being nicely decorated with blue and white crepe paper for the occasion.

After a wedding trip to points in southern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will be at home after the first of February on the groom’s farm east of Colby.
