Starks, Evelyn (19 DEC 1936)

On Saturday, Dec. 19, 1936 at 2 p.m., Miss Evelyn, daughter of Mrs. Sadie Starks of this locality, and William, son of Mrs. Nell Glendenning of Grandview, were united in holy matrimony at the Methodist Parsonage in Stanley, Rev. George Vaughan officiating.

The bride was attired in rust brown crepe with brown accessories and wore a shoulder corsage of white chrysanthemums and sweet peas. She was attended by her sister, Miss Erma Starks, who wore a green crepe dress with green accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink sweet peas and chrysanthemums. The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Everett Starks.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to immediate relatives, the rooms being decorated in rust brown, green and white.

Those attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bushlen of Arpin; Mrs. Nell Glendenning and Mrs. Will Deaner of Grandview.

The bride is a graduate of the Stanley High School, class of ’28 and Teachers Training School, ahs taught in the public schools of Eau Claire County and is well known here.

They will reside at Grandview, where the groom has employment.
