Shaff, Amanda (15 SEP 1902 - 25 OCT 1936)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Eau Claire for Mrs. Horace Shaff, who passed away at an Eau Claire hospital Sunday, Oct. 25, 1936, following a two day illness.

Amanda Ortlieb was born at Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) on Sept. 15, 1902, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlob Ortlieb, and grew to young womanhood here. In 1917 she left for Chippewa Falls where she was employed until her marriage eight years ago. Since then the Shaffs have made their home at Eau Claire.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Frank; seven sisters, Mrs. Anton Crane, nee Augusta, Abbotsford; Mrs. Emma Keene, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Anton Pagel, nee Ida, Wausau; Mr. Ed Marcotte, ne Selma, Dorchester; Mrs. William Ludwig, nee Emma, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. George Patitz, nee Ida, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Julius Paul, nee Bertha, Dorchester; and four brothers, William Henges of Curtiss, Herman Hinges, Rudolph Ortlieb and Albert Ortlieb, all of Dorchester, Wis.

The many friends of the family join us in expressing sympathy in this their hour of sorrow.
