Hoffman, Elmer (25 Apr. 1913 - 10 June 2007)

Elmer Hoffman, 94, Colby, died on Sunday, June 10th, 2007, at his home in the Town of Frankfurt.

The visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Sauter-Kundinger Funeral Home, Stratford, and on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until service time at Ebenezer United Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14th, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Town of Cleveland. The Reverend Kenneth Dix will preside.

Serving as pallbearers will be Neil, Dean, Klayton, Kerry and Randall Hoffman and Roger Loper. Burial will take place in Estabrooks Cemetery in Fond du Lac on Friday, June 15th at 9 a.m.

Elmer was born April 24th, 1913, in the Town of Cleveland, to Herman and Lida (Hagen) Hoffman.

As a young man, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Northern Wisconsin. Elmer was a tool and die maker. He was a member of the Colby Lions Club and the Colby United Church of Christ.

He married Uldine Martin on August 31st, 2003 and she survives.

Elmer is also survived by four children, Sharon (Roger) Loper, Crossville, TN, Neil (Janet) Hoffman, Lac du Flambeau, Dean (Brigit) Hoffman, Cookeville, TN and Randall (Donna) Hoffman, Sullivan; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Leorora Leffel, Stratford and two brothers, Herman William (Gloria) Hoffman, Rhinelander and Lyle Wayne (Marlene) Hoffman, Stratford.

He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Deanna Loper, two grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters.
