Oelrich, Elmer Frederick (21 Aug. 1920 - 13 Mar. 1995)

Spencer, Wis. - Elmer Frederick Oelrich, 74, of S333 County Highway C died at 7:42 p.m. March 13, 1995, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Ruhbusch will officiate. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home, and again one hour before service time Thursday at the church.

He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Spencer, to Frank and Minnie (Korth) Oelrich. He received his education in Brighton and Trinity Lutheran schools.

He married Dorothy Wix on Oct. 1, 1949, in St. James Catholic Church in Wausau. He worked for Home Insulation of Wausau and for Alfred Regner Construction. He had also worked for the Spencer Farmers Co-op until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Oelrich; three daughters, Mary (Mike Rolling) Oelrich of Schofield, LouAnn (Doug) Mellenthin of Spencer, and Patricia (Terry) Schiller of Pittsville; one son, Frank (Rose) Oelrich of Marathon City; three grandsons and two granddaughters; three sisters, Marian (Norbert) Boock and Lillian (Alfred) Johnsrud, all of Spencer, and Bonnie (William) Plath of Webster; one brother, Theodore (Anne) Oelrich of Minocqua.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and sister-in-law, Wilmer "Boomer" (Norma) Oelrich; one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor (John) Reineking and one sister-in-law, Jean Oelrich.
