Lerche, Nancy Louise (Marriage - 20 Oct. 1973)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, was the site of the marriage of Miss Nancy Louise Lerche, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Lerche, Potter, and Arden James Geisler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Geisler, Greenwood.
The couple was pronounced husband and wife by the Rev. Leander Koopman during a 2 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Oct. 20. Tom Zepaltus played the organ while the Zepaltus girls sang.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, appeared in a gown of bridal satin and French lace. Her shoulder-length veil was secured to a pearl and lace headpiece and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and ivy.
Miss Susan Lerche, Potter, was the honor attendant and Miss Diane Dieringer and Jan Gerry, both of Marshfield, were bridesmaids. They wore empire gowns with orange floral bodices and solid orange skirts. Each carried a bouquet of orange and bronze daisy mums and dried flowers.
James Learman, Greenwood, served as best man and groomsmen were Terry Biddle, Thorp, and Robert Tomkowiak, Marshfield. Bill Lerche, Potter, and James Ziegler, Marshfield, seated guests for the ceremony.
A supper at the church parlor was followed by a reception and dance at the Legion Hall, Greenwood.
The new Mrs. Geisler, a 1971 graduate of Fox Valley Technical Institute, is employed as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital here. Her husband, who graduated in 1967 from Greenwood High School, is with the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
The couple will reside in Greenwood after a honeymoon to northern Wisconsin.
