Iva Kubaskie

HUMBIRD - Iva J. Kubaskie, 75, of rural Humbird died Sunday, July 24, 2004, at her home, following a short illness.

Iva, daughter of Edwin and Pearl (Rush) Aldinger, was born November 30, 1928, in the town of Alma, Jackson County. She married Edwin Kubaskie on June 9, 1951, in Eau Claire. The couple farmed in the town of Mentor all their married life. Iva was also employed by the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild, and then at the Fairchild Nursing Home, retiring when it closed. Iva enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren, and also loved square dancing and playing cribbage.

She is survived by two sons, Carl and Marilee Kubaskie of Merrillan and Dale Kubaskie of Humbird; daughter, Tami and Michael Muenkel of Maple Lake, Minn.; brother, Harold Aldinger of Merrillan; three sisters, Emma (Bill) Arndt and Marlene (Earl) Dayton, all of Neillsville, Eileen Burlingame of Black River Falls; six grandchildren, Chris, Craig and Curtis Kubaskie, Jeffery, Mathias and Amy Muenkel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in December of 1988.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at 1 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Humbird, with burial in the Mentor Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
