Re: Obit: Jones, Sophia (1854 - 1933)

Contact: Martin A. Piehl

This is a relative, and an unbelievably rare piece for me, actively doing Harris, ONeill & Piehl histories now, involving Winnebago & Taylor Cos; Fond du Lac (Elmore, Ashford) & Taylor Cos.for Piehl, all in WI. The value of lost obituaries proven! I have very little luck as am searching obituaries from late 1800s, and in finding small local papers which may have died out, such as in Omro-Utica area. Mrs Emil (Ada) Piehl (1888-1967) mentioned in this is my Mother, Louisa Harris (1849-1934, wife of Samuel F. Harris, he born ME), my grandmother, all from Medford, WI. I am from & still active in Taylor Co., and attended and taught at UWis (natural history, botany, local history) Thanks; hope interested persons can make further contact ( MAP
