Who Have Come, Who Have Gone, and Are Going Away - Other Gossip.
Ed Hewett formerly of this city, but now of Dodge Center, Minn., came here last week to accompany his wife home. Mrs. Hewett has been visiting relatives in this county.
Hod Chase of York was in the city Saturday. Hod. Like other go-ahead, enterprising farmers of his town, are in favor of voting the aid to the newly projected railroad.
Mrs. C. O’Neill was in the city last week buying butter and eggs for her hotel and restaurant at Hurley. She is doing a paying business in that rushing city.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Al. B. Marsh, Saturday, April 30, a daughter.
Judge Dewhurst, departed for La Crosse Yesterday.
Robert Weeks, who went to Hurley a couple of weeks ago to accept a position at book-keeping, is again at home.
Wm. Woodward started for Milwaukee last night to attend the Grand Lodge of the A. O. U. W., as delegate from the lodge here.
Rev. W. T. Hendren has appointed to preach at Huntzicker’s school house on Sunday, May 8th, 8 p.m., and at Christie School house, at 5 p.m. of the same day.
