Herman, Marie (5 JUN 1937)

A very pretty nuptial took place at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at 8:00 o’clock Saturday morning last when Rev. F.A. Kulig joined in holy wedlock, Mr. Francis Kowieski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kowieski of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Marie herman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Herman of this village.

Michael Kowieski, brother of the groom, acted in the capacity of best man.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown, with train and white veil with lace cap effect and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley and white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Louise Herman, sister of the bride, wore a blue taffeta dress, carrying a mixed bouquet of yellow tea roses and daisies. Mrs. Gene Brunner, matron of honor and sister of the bride, wore a flowered chiffon gown with white background, carrying a mixed bouquet of white daisies and pink roses. The second attending couple were Paul Kowieski and Miss Theresa Herman, who was also attired in blue taffeta. The groom wore a dark full dress suit.

A reception to the bride and groom was held at the home of the groom’s parents after the ceremony and festivities continued throughout the day. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Mileaway pavilion, in which many friends of the newlyweds participated and joined in wishing them well.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mrs. Stanley Skrypek, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kowieski and family and Miss Josephine Presiloski, of Winnipeg, Canada, Michael Kowieski, Lyons, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Gene Brunner, Medford, and Miss Elizabeth Zaborowski, Chicago.
