Lapp, Vera F. (Marriage - 18 Nov. 1935)

Miss Vera F. Lapp, daughter of Mrs. Bertha Lapp of Dorchester, and Mr. Marzell Weix of Dorchester, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weix of Colby, were married at the St. Louis Catholic church at Dorchester, Rev. Haines officiating, Monday, Nov. 18, 1935, at 6:30 P.M. Verna Lapp, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Burt Lapp of Fifield, nephew of the bride.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of plum color chiffon velvet, floor length, and her corsage bouquet consisted of orchids, mums, sweet peas and rose buds. The bridesmaid wore a floor length dress of purple chiffon velvet and her corsage consisted of mums and sweet peas.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother, covers being laid for twelve at a seven course breakfast at 8:00 A.M. The home was nicely decorated in yellow and white. The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and Chicago and will be at home after Dec. 1st in the living rooms above the Weix drug store at Dorchester which is owned by the groom.
