Johnson, James P. (18 Oct. 1872 - 24 Nov. 1935)

James P. Johnson, a former Colbyite, died at Spokane, Washington, Sunday, Nov. 24th, at the age of sixty-three years, one month and five days, pneumonia and heart trouble being the cause of his departure to the distant shore. The deceased was born at Brotherton, Wis., Oct. 18th, 1872, and was married in December, 1903, at Colby to Lydia Stacy. He lived here a number of years and learned the printing trade in the Phonograph office.

The deceased is survived by his widow, three sons, Rowland of Wenachee, Wash., Raymond and Jessie of Spokane, Wash., five grand children and one sister and three brothers, Harriet of Kenosha, George of Racine, Albert of Eau Claire and Clayton of Colby.
