A very beautiful wedding took place Saturday morning, July 3, 1937, at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s de Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church of Stanley, Wis., when Rev. L. Slisz united in holy bonds of matrimony, Miss Annie Staron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Staron and Mr. Walter Bania, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bania. The altar was decorated with white roses, delphiniums and large palms.
Attending the bride was Miss Adelaide Staron, a sister, as maid of honor, Miss Francette Staron, the bride’s sister and Frank Bania of St. Louis, Mo., the groom’s brother, acted as bridesmaid and best man. Other attending couples were: Miss Ethel Bania, sister of the groom, and John Staron, brother of the bride; Miss Anna Bania, groom’s sister, and William Tobola of Thorp; Miss Maria Broza of Chicago, and Alois Ciolkosz; Miss Susan Patchak, cousin of the bride, and Walter Ciolkosz, uncle of the bride; Miss Stella Ciolkosz, the bride’s aunt, and Frank Swantek.
The bride was attractively attired in a very beautiful gown of white lace, fashioned in a redingote style with a long time and a Queen Anne collar. The veil was of a coronation model, with a pearl beaded crown. She carried a large spray of white roses combined with white carnations bound with white ribbons.
The maid of honor wore a powder blue lace dress of a redingote style. For her hair she wore a band of peach artificial roses and carried a spray of peach tea roses.
The bridesmaids wore dresses of peach lace in the same style. Artificial powder blue roses adorned their hair. They carried sprays of white carnations and blue delphiniums.
The groom wore a dark blue suit while his attendants wore tuxedos with white carnations in their lapels.
After the ceremony all invited guests were accorded a reception dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s parents.
Guests from Chicago were: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Welzien, Walter Koziol, Mrs. Frank Gawron, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kmant, son Ronald, Jeanette Lekwaswki, Mrs. V. Ciolkosz, daughter Lucille and son Casimer, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kobul, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cukla and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Chuey and daughter, Louis; Harry Patchak, of Berwyn, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bania Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bania and son; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bania and daughter Dolores of St. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. S. Wojcik and daughter and son-in-law of Spencer, and many others.
The newlyweds will reside temporarily at the home of the groom’s parents. Their many relatives and friends extend wishes for the best of luck, success and happiness in their new venture.
