Timlin, James R. (1854 - 2 Dec. 1937)

James Timlin Sr., pioneer resident of the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), aged 83 years, passed away at his home on the Thorp-Worden town line, after a long and serious illness, Thursday night.

The funeral was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stanley, Monday at 10 a.m., Rev. Wallace officiating. Interment in the Catholic Cemetery at Stanley.

Surviving relatives are his wife, who was Rosey Jordan; three sons, James, Emmet and Millard; four daughters, Julie (Mrs. Fred Henning), Emma (Mrs. Wm. Lokranz), Celia (Mrs. Philip Friese) and Selma (Mrs. McNeil); also several grandchildren and other relatives.

Mr. Jas. Timlin came here from southern Wisconsin when a young man and purchased 80 acres of the Wm. Jerard homestead, which he developed into a fine farm home. He also owned, at one time, the present Roy Forster farm. During the lumber days he engaged in logging and had spent several Fall threshing in North Dakota.
