Fenske, Albert (1 Oct. 1850 - 7 Marc h 1942)

Albert Fenske died suddenly at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Montag, Chili, where he had made his home since the death of his wife 26 years ago. He was 91 years of age.

Mr. Fenske was born in Germany October 1, 1850. He came to America in 1882, settling in Clark County where he made his home for the balance of his lifetime. He chose farming as his vocation.

Mr. Fenske is survived by four children: Mrs. Montag; Charlie Fenske and Richard Fenske, Chili, and Gustave Fenske, Ripon, and by a daughter-in-law Mrs. Augusta Fenske, Edgerton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death his wife and three children.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home of St. John’s Lutheran at Nasonville, Rev. D. Demer officiating. Interment was made in the Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Adolph Beil, Paul Beil, Frank Storm, Otto Rusch, Ben Muir and William Steltenpohl.

Mesdames Harland Meissner, G. Dankemyer, Lyle Doehr and Craig Montag.
