Arne Larson, Owen, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, April 21, 1942, at the age of 89. He had been ill but two weeks.

Funeral services took place at two p.m., April 23, at the Schiller Funeral Home, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery. Ole Lowe, William Carskadden, William Owen and Ed. Hauge acted as pallbearers.

Mr. Larson was born Nov. 30, 1853, at Solar, Norway, coming to America at the age of 17. In 1881 he was married to Paulena Halverson of Blair, Wis. Mrs. Larson died in 1938.

The departed was a stone mason by trade. Since this occupation was but seasonal in the early days of the building industry, he worked in the logging camps during the winter.
