Kraus, Hubert (22 Apr. 1921 - 20 Mar. 1938)

Hubert Kraus, age 16, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Joe Kraus, died Sunday afternoon at 2:45 at the Marshfield hospital where he was taken Saturday night. He had been ill a week and his death was caused by inflammatory rheumatism, pleurisy and complications due to endocarditis. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Junior Tesmer, Robert Reeves, Gerald Cushing, Eugene Herrmann, Angus Lamont and Allen Brehm. Flower girls were Gertrude Bauer, Pearl DuVall, Ruth Butler, Lorraine Kesler, Carol Franz, Lenore Baumgart, Marjorie Nelsen and Vera Dean Robinson.

The deceased was born April 22, 1921, in Colby. He was a junior at Colby, Wis. High school, a member of the Holy Name Society and the Boy Scouts. Surviving are his parents and four sisters - Miss Catherine of Chicago and Bernadette, Beatrice and Dorothy at home.
