Krueger, Erma (Marriage - 28 May 1938)
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Zion Lutheran church at Colby Saturday, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Erma Krueger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Krueger, became the bride of Mr. Clarence Weller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weller. Miss Bernice Strade, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid and Albertine Syth, a distant relative of the groom, was maid of honor. The groom was attended by Arthur Krueger and Arnold Krueger, brothers of the bride.
The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white chiffon with tulle veil and headdress of seed pearls. Her bouquet consisted of roses and carnations with streamers. The bridesmaid wore a dress of light aqua of celanese taffeta with white accessories and her bouquet consisted of mixed flowers. Arlene Krueger, niece of the bride, who acted as flower bearer, wore a dress of blue taffeta with pink accessories.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated in blue, yellow and white streamers and white and lavender lilacs. In the evening, a free wedding dance was held at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.
Out of town people here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lenz and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Strade of Keil and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Miller, Edna Gibson and Harry Strade of Oshkosh.
